The
Power of Inspirational Quotes

by James Arthur Ray
Inspirational quotes don't inspire... Inspiration and motivation
comes from within. The word inspiration includes the Latin
spiritus literally meaning to be "in spirit" or
"filled with spirit." When we are inspired, we are
catapulted into a sense of heightened awareness -- the world
and opportunities expand exponentially around us. What once
seemed impossible to our logical/rational mind suddenly seems
completely possible. In fact, it is not only possible... it
is definite and certain!
To
be in spirit, you must tap into the internal core from which
true inspiration resides and allow the power from within you
to flow through. This will never come from an outside source,
although you may trigger it after an exposure to an external
source.
All
great sages, teachers and saints have taught in one-way-shape-or-fashion
that the power to win in life comes quite simply from two
things -- you must constantly:
-
Study, understand, and immerse yourself in that which brings
you power.
-
Avoid all that weakens you.
Therefore, while giving the ever-popular "inspirational
quote" a bad rap in the beginning of this discussion,
these ubiquitous words of eternal wisdom do carry some degree
of power and potential transformation. Surrounding yourself
with positive energy, in a world inundated with negative input,
can assist you in staying plugged in to that power source
lying deep within your core; and help offset the negative
or weakening bombardment.
Turn
on the news any given evening (actually do yourself a favor
and don't turn it on), and you will be clubbed into submission
by limitation, lack, fear, and scarcity. Dirty laundry and
sensationalism sell.
To
use a well-known inspirational saying "it is not what
you know that will create a change in your life...it is what
you do with what you know." As a result, the positive
and upbeat information you exposure your mind and body to
must be put into action -- massive, immediate, and consistent!
Contrary
to popular belief, information is not "power," information
is potential power and only moves beyond potentiality when
placed into action. If information was truly power then the
Ph.D.s on our planet would comprehensively be the most powerful
individuals in existence; and you know this is not true. There
are plenty of Ph.D.s who can't rub two nickels together!
To
truly be "inspired" you must tap into "spirit"
or in other words, your Divine essence. And then that potential
power must be set in motion moving from your head to your
heart and finally to your feet.
